  • Dear Friends,

It seems like yesterday we committed to praying about the idea of churchplanting for the Wilson and Brown families. Through many encouraging conversations, prayer, God's call, (and don't underestimate the Red Sox winning the World Series), we're preparing to move to Boston and plant a church!

Thanks for reading and please keep the Boston Partnership in your prayers!

    For the Kingdom,

    Why Boston?

    Cheers Wilsons

It's the #1 question we're asked when we tell people we're moving to Boston to plant a church.

As one of the most influential cities in the world, Boston is a major industrial, financial, and educational epicenter. No town is richer in historical sites than this beautiful city. Its church buildings are many, however, Boston has only 187 protestant churches left in the metro area for the close to 1 million people (including students). Similar in size, Memphis TN, has 2000+ churches. In Boston, only 1 out of 20 people will attend a church service this coming weekend.

We believe God has a new plan for the people of Boston. Our dream is to start a church community where people will experience God's love and grace; a place where people can find their way back to God.

The Boston Partnership is a collective of people, churches, and organizations committed to planting a missional reproducing church in the Boston Metro area.

    Speaking "Bostonian"
    connah store

It'll take a lot "moah" than dropping "yoah ahs" (your R's) to talk like a native. Know these and you'll look "wicked smaht" and not be a "chowdahead" (stupid person) when you come to visit.

    BOSTON TRANSLATOR

Pahk: Park. "Don't pahk your cah in Hahvid Yahd ... they'll tow it to Meffa (Medford) or Slumaville (Somerville)."

Calm ya livva: Cool your jets.

Fudge-icle: To the rest of the world, a frozen chocolate pop is a Fudgesicle, but in Boston, the 's' is silent.

Jimmies: Sprinkles you put on ice cream.

Packie: Liquor Store. You'll have to make a packie run if you want a beah (beer).

Dunkies: A donut shop found roughly every 1/10th of a mile on every street in greater Boston

Wicked: Extremely. "Nomaaah's a wicked good baseball playa."

Yah huh and no suh: Yes and no. Usually heard during an intense conversation. "I saw Mickey at Castle Island and he was with another girl." "No SUH!" "Yah huh."

    • Wilson and Brown families and the transition process
    • Our next trip to Boston April 10th-13th to look for affordable housing
    • For financial support
    • More people to move to Boston and be a part of the team!
