Boston Partnership E-Update
November 19 Launch
Dear Friends,
Sunday finally arrived with all its busyness. Our set up team and our artists arrived early to start moving all of the equipment out of the trailer. By 10:15 AM we were welcoming our first set of individuals as they entered the hotel. There was a certain buzz in the air and our people were excited. We had talked about this day for about 9 months, and it was finally here.
There were 87 total at our first service with many visitors. As the morning progressed our team felt that God was blessing our preparation and hard work. Now we continue the work as we seek to connect these people into our community. Our desire is that people will feel welcome and part of something unique as they get to know REUNION Christian Church.
On a side note, we decided to donate our entire first offering to Starlight Homeless Ministries. Starlight is a faith-based organization that seeks to minister to the chronically homeless in the Boston Metro area. We want our church to seek opportunities for generosity, so we thought this would be a great testimony to what we value.
At the end of the day we were tired, but it felt good to finally start weekly services. We look over this past year and it has been a long journey to this point. We thank all of you who have supported us with finances and prayers. We could not have done this without you!
