Friends,

Hank and Tish stroll through the Commons 2008 has been a great year for REUNION Christian Church and Sojourn Collegiate Ministries; God is doing some great things here in the city!  We wanted to share with you some of our big wins from the past year:
  • 24 people were baptized in 2008 (including 1 in the Dominican Republic)
  • 22 people went on REUNION's first mission trip to the Dominican Republic
  • 17 people participated in Sojourn's first spring break mission trip to LA where they helped with reconstruction for hurricane victims
  • 6 babies have joined our community (4 more are on the way!)
  • 50 Thanksgiving baskets were donated to the Dorchester Community
  • 4 couples went through premarital counseling
  • Our Advent Conspiracy special offering totaled $15,463 and still counting!
  • 200+ people are grouped in Community Groups
  • New leaders are being added each month (The picture above is from a recent Leadership Community where we took our leaders candlepin bowling.)
Our growth is not just numerically, but these numbers hint to what God is doing here in the city through REUNION and Sojourn.  We hope that you know that you are very much a part of what we do here.  We could not do this without your prayers and your support.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Hank, Mike, Karen, Phil and John
December Baptisms

Hank and Tish stroll through the Commons Alicia (baptized by Jay)

I volunteer with a homeless outreach ministry called Nazareth.  It's in those moments of talking with the homeless and listening to their stories, that I catch glimpses of Jesus.  So why baptism?  Well, I've already been following Jesus for a while, with the ups and downs and everything in between, I would like to get to know Him just a little  bit more.

Hank and Tish stroll through the Commons Trey (Baptized by his parents Hank and Julie)

I want to be baptized because I believe that Jesus is my savior from my sins.  I am thankful that my sins will be washed away through baptism.  I am thankful that God has adopted me into his family.  I am also thankful for my friends and my family, for helping me know what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
Pray It Up

  • Praise God for Alicia's and Trey's decision to follow Jesus through baptism.
  • Praise God for the money that was so generously given through the special offering.
  • Praise God for the good things he has in store for 2009.
